IN RECENT months, the outlook for the Castro regime in Cuba was growing steadily darker. The modest reforms it adopted in recent years to improve abysmal economic conditions had stalled, due to the regime’s refusal to allow Cubans greater freedoms. Worse, the accelerating economic collapse of Venezuela meant that the huge subsidies that have kept the Castros afloat for the past decade were in peril. A growing number of Cubans were demanding basic human rights, such as freedom of speech and assembly.
On Wednesday, the Castros suddenly obtained a comprehensive bailout — from the Obama administration. President Obama granted the regime everything on its wish list that was within his power to grant; a full lifting of the trade embargo requires congressional action. Full diplomatic relations will be established, Cuba’s place on the list of terrorism sponsors reviewed and restrictions lifted on U.S. investment and most travel to Cuba. That liberalization will provide Havana with a fresh source of desperately needed hard currency and eliminate U.S. leverage for political reforms.
As part of the bargain, Havana released Alan Gross, a U.S. Agency for International Development contractor who was unjustly imprisoned five years ago for trying to help Cuban Jews. Also freed was an unidentified U.S. intelligence agent in Cuba — as were three Cuban spies who had been convicted of operations in Florida that led to Cuba’s 1996 shootdown of a plane carrying anti-Castro activists. While Mr. Obama sought to portray Mr. Gross’s release as unrelated to the spy swap, there can be no question that Cuba’s hard-line intelligence apparatus obtained exactly what it sought when it made Mr. Gross a de facto hostage.
No wonder Yoani Sánchez, Cuba’s leading dissident blogger, concluded Wednesday that “Castroism has won” and predicted that for weeks Cubans will have to endure proclamations by the government that it is the “winner of its ultimate battle.”
During his announcement on Wednesday, President Obama said a transformation of relations with Cuba would bring opportunities for both countries.
Mr. Obama argued that his sweeping change of policy was overdue because the strategy of isolating the Communist regime “has had little effect.” In fact, Cuba has been marginalized in the Americas for decades, and the regime has been deprived of financial resources it could have used to spread its malignant influence in the region, as Venezuela has done. That the embargo has not succeeded in destroying communism does not explain why all sanctions should be lifted without any meaningful political concessions by Cuba.
U.S. officials said the regime agreed to release 53 political prisoners and allow more access to the Internet. But Raúl Castro promised four years ago to release all political prisoners, so the White House has purchased the same horse already sold to the Vatican and Spain.
The administration says its move will transform relations with Latin America, but that is naive. Countries that previously demanded an end to U.S. sanctions on Cuba will not now look to Havana for reforms; instead, they will press the Obama administration not to sanction Venezuela. Mr. Obama says normalizing relations will allow the United States to be more effective in promoting political change in Cuba. That is contrary to U.S. experience with Communist regimes such as Vietnam, where normalization has led to no improvements on human rights in two decades. Moreover, nothing in Mr. Obama’s record of lukewarm and inconstant support for democratic change across the globe can give Ms. Sánchez and her fellow freedom fighters confidence in this promise.
The Vietnam outcome is what the Castros are counting on: a flood of U.S. tourists and business investment that will allow the regime to maintain its totalitarian system indefinitely. Mr. Obama may claim that he has dismantled a 50-year-old failed policy; what he has really done is give a 50-year-old failed regime a new lease on life.

Marco Rubio Slams Cuba Agreement — Says Obama Is ‘Willfully Ignorant’

Calling President Obama “willfully ignorant” and “the worst negotiator” the U.S. has had in decades, Sen. Marco Rubio on Wednesday slammed the administration’s agreement with Cuba to open normal diplomatic relations for the first time in more than 50 years,vowing that the incoming Republican majority in the Senate will try to undo the deal with whatever tools they have at their disposal.
Speaking just minutes after Mr. Obama hailed the deal — predicated on the release of political prisoners by both nations — Mr. Rubio, a Cuban-American, said the president has let the people of Cuba down by finalizing a “disgraceful” deal that is a major setback for human rights and freedom for the Cuban people.
Moving forward, the Florida Republican said congressional Republicans may block the nomination of a U.S. ambassador to Cuba and could stand in the way of funding for diplomatic facilities on the island.
“I’m committed to doing everything I can to unravel as many of these changes as I can,” he said. “I intend to use every tool at our disposal in the majority [in the Senate] to unravel as many of these changes as possible.”
On the action itself, Mr. Rubio said normalizing relations with Cuba will only allow Cuban President Raul Castro to shore up his power base and continue oppressing his own people, adding that the president’s belief that the move will help the Cuban people is naive.
“This entire policy shift announced today is based on an illusion, on a lie — the lie and illusion that more commerce, more access to money and goods will translate to political for the Cuban people,” Mr. Rubio, Florida Republican and a potential 2016 presidential candidate, told reporters. “All this is going to do is give the Castro regime, which controls every aspect of Cuban life, the opportunity to manipulate these changes to perpetuate itself in power.”
The deal announced Wednesday comes as the Cuban government released American aid worker Alan Gross, who had been held for five years. In a separate deal, the U.S. and Cuba released political prisoners, including a U.S. intelligence asset who had been held for two decades, officials said.
Mr. Rubio praised the release of Mr. Gross and said he is grateful to have him home.
But the broader agreement, the senator said, is a mistake of huge proportions.
“It is just another concession to a tyranny by the Obama administration rather than a defense of every universal and unalienable right that our country stands for … It will significantly set back the hopes of freedom and democracy for the Cuban people,” he said. “It is disgraceful for a president who claims to treasure human rights and human freedom. This president is the single worst negotiator we have had in the White House in my lifetime.”

Cuba's Castro Brothers Get Big Present From Santa Obama
Foreign Policy: Just as its patron Venezuela hit the rocks, Cuba got a last-minute rescue from none other than President Obama, who announced a Santa Claus-like package of wish-list goodies for the Castro brothers. Why?
In many ways, President Obama's announced plan to normalize relations with Cuba, lift the embargo, extend trade credits and remove Cuba from the state sponsors of terror list is about on par with the rest of his foreign policy.
It was done by executive order without consulting Congress, just like last month's decision to temporarily legalize 5 million illegal immigrants.
It was justified by a claim the U.S. embargo was "not working," comparable to Obama's claim the U.S. immigration system is "broken." In reality, the problem in both cases is that of a halfhearted willingness to enforce the law, rendering it full of holes.
As for the hostage swap in the bargain, that of U.S. Agency for International Development subcontractor Alan Gross and another U.S. agent for three professional Cuban intelligence officers linked to the murder of U.S. citizens in the 1996 Brothers to the Rescue shootdown, it was a deal that gave far more than it got, just like the hostage swap with the Taliban of U.S. army deserter Bowe Bergdahl for five terrorists.
And it was all about leading from behind.
Once again, Obama made nice with Latin America's leftwing leaders, whose interests don't align with ours, and used Pope Francis as a fig leaf for his action.
They are rooted in little more than Obama's desire to be popular with such leaders at the upcoming Summit of the Americas in April. It is little different from his actions in Libya during the so-called Arab Spring.
But two details are disturbing.
One is the strange timing of the announcement, coming just as Venezuela and other nations ruled by petrotyrants are on the verge of collapse.
Venezuela has played sugar daddy to Cuba for years, shipping 100,000 barrels of free oil to the communist state. It can no longer afford to. Rather than use that as leverage, Obama rescued Cuba despite its repressive human rights record. That's one odd bailout.
And the bailout won't be free for U.S. taxpayers.
Obama administration officials have said they are moving swiftly to extend trade credits to Cuba so the $483 million in American goods Cuba now pays for in cash can expand further, thanks to taxpayer-supported U.S. ExImBank trade credits.
In effect, we've handed the odious Castro brothers Uncle Sam's credit card. Given that the Castroites have defaulted on all of their trading partners since 1961, to the tune of at least $70 billion, it's assumed the Castros, having no sustainable economic model, will eventually default on us too.
How big could that be? Humberto Fontova, author of "The Longest Romance: The Mainstream Media And Fidel Castro," says Cuba now imports 400 tons of rice from Vietnam and China. If the U.S. now takes that market, at a global price of about $419 a ton, that comes out to about $1.68 billion. That's for rice alone.
Some Christmas present for the atheist Castro brothers. For Cuba's long-suffering democrats and the American taxpayer, maybe not so much.

Obama is a Racist in a Liberal's Clothing
On the 2014 December 6 “Justice,” Judge Jeanine Pirro blasted President Obama for taking sides based on color, not facts, and stoking the flames "racial hatred, resentment and divisiveness."
"Every young American who loses his life should be the concern of the man in the White House. But why is it that we only hear from him when death involves a person of color?" Judge Jeanine asked.
She pointed out that Obama wasn't elected by just one group, but all Americans, Republican and Democrat, black and white.
"Why don't you act like you're the president of all of us?" Judge Jeanine expands:
Tonight, Americans, once hopeful that after electing the first African American president, the issue of race would be a thing of the past, are left with Barack Obama, who stokes the flames of racial hatred, resentment and divisiveness.
A man who instead of healing our nation, instead of overcoming any racial divide prefers to take sides, based not on facts but on color, to prejudge situations based not on sworn testimony and evidence but on conjecture and a one size fits all resentment, to peddle the narrative of a national problem between law enforcement and young people of color.
Every young American who loses his life should be the concern of the man in the White House. But why is it that we only hear from him when death involves a person of color?
But James Foley, an American who never committed a crime and was beheaded, is nothing more than a blip in the president's golf game.
Mr. President, why do you send White House officials to Brown's funeral but no one to James Foley’s memorial service?
I don't remember you injecting yourself in the death of a young white American or sending in the attorney general on a local crime before the justice system can act - as you did with Eric Holder, sending him to Ferguson?
Why not speak about young African Americans killed by other African Americans? Black-on-black crime? The kind of crime for which your home town of Chicago is so infamous?
Instead, you see racism everywhere.
Mr. President, you say we need trust between police and the African American community, police need to be sensitive to minority concerns.
How about you teach respect for those who put their lives on the line every day, for those who protect us, for those who are the one line of defense against an otherwise barbaric and chaotic society?
How about you teach that when a police officer says "move along" or "put your hands behind your back,” you do it!
And teach that you don't call cops derogatory names or reach into a police cruiser to grab a cop's gun.
But then again, you're the one who thinks cops are stupid.
Mr. President, you demand respect. Why not demand respect for police. When they issue an order, it's not a suggestion, an invitation, a mediation or a request.
As anarchy reigned and protesters looted stores and burned buildings of hard-working Americans - many African American - where were you?
Or do you believe that those crimes are justification for a perceived injustice? Simple collateral damage - like Occupy Wall Street. That tax paying Americans need to just suffer through and then pay for?
But no, you fan the flames of resentment, trumpeting your own investigation that you could have completed by now, only prolonging the anger. Suggesting, yes, folks, this is yet another white injustice, and I’m going to reverse it with a federal civil rights investigation, when you know there isn't a smidgeon - your word - of evidence to support the claim.
Weren't you going to reverse the Trayvon Martin-George Zimmerman case with a federal investigation? What happened? Nothing! Absolutely nothing!
Have you no respect for the law? For our system of justice? If you don't like the law, change it. Hell, you do it all the time without Congress!
And you bring in the greatest charlatan of them all, a man who makes a living inciting racial hatred, a tax cheat and a liar, who claimed an African American girl was raped by a white man - stirring the pot of racial hatred that resulted in a defamation judgment against him - to sit with you at the citadel of power in the White House to discuss how law enforcement should be more sensitive.
Now, there are times when injustices occur, but the system also works.
I know. According to that same Al Sharpton , as DA, I convicted the first white cop of shooting an African American in the history of New York.
That jury, not affected by centuries of racism - but the facts, pure and simple.
Mr. President, if you're so concerned about racism, why don't you do something about it?
It is no secret black crime is disproportionately high. Why not focus on poverty, on lack of education, on drugs, on guns, on broken families
Bill Clinton moved Americans from welfare to "workfare." You turn back the hands of time.
With you as president, things aren't so great for African Americans. The poverty rate among African Americans has gone up since you took office. Fewer African Americans own homes. The number of African Americans on food stamps rose from 6 million to almost 11 million since you took office.
Mr. President, you seem to forget, you weren't just elected by one group. You were elected by all of us: Republicans and Democrats, blacks and whites.
Why don't you act like you're the president of all of us?

Congressional Black Caucus denounces Ferguson grand jury

“The Ferguson grand jury’s decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in the death of Michael Brown is a miscarriage of justice,” CBC Chair Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio) said in a statement released after the decision was announced late Monday evening in Missouri. “It is a slap in the face to Americans nationwide who continue to hope and believe that justice will prevail.”
“This is a frightening narrative for every parent and guardian of Black and brown children, and another setback for race relations in America.”
After months of deliberation, St. Louis County prosecuting attorney Robert McCulloch announced that a grand jury had reached a decision not to indict Wilson on criminal charges. Wilson shot and killed the unarmed teenager Aug. 9 in a confrontation on the streets of Ferguson.
The American Civil Liberties Union issued a statement on Monday night saying that it will “continue to fight for racial justice.”
“We must end the prevailing policing paradigm where police departments are more like occupying forces, imposing their will to control communities,” the statement read. Once the decision not to indict was announced, Ferguson again became engulfed in unrest. The Associated Press reports dozens of businesses were set ablaze and authorities said they heard hundreds of gunshots. Dozens of people were arrested. Rep. John Lewis, known for his role in the civil rights movement, took to Twitter shortly after McCulloch finished his statement.
“I know this [is] hard. I know this is difficult. Do not succumb to the temptations of violence. There is a more powerful way,” the Georgia Democrat tweeted.
Another of his tweets read, “Only love can overcome hate. Only nonviolence can overcome violence.”
Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) also likened the events in Ferguson to the civil rights movement, urging protesters in a statement to march peacefully “just as we did” during the ’50s and ’60s.
Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) was quick to put out a statement and said he is “disappointed” in the decision, but that he is looking to the Department of Justice to continue to investigate the case.
“While I understand the emotions that have brought protestors into the streets, our goal now should be preventing cases like this one from ever happening again by encouraging dialogue with the police forces sworn to protect our communities and transforming the practices and culture that led to the shooting,” Cummings said in a statement.
Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) echoed Cummings’ disappointment, tweeting she is also “disappointed in the lack of #Justice4MikeBrown. We must demand change & work to end racial & structural bias in a peaceful manner.”
Prominent political figures in Missouri also weighed in.
Gov. Jay Nixon said: “I urge all those voicing their opinions regarding the grand jury’s decision to do so peacefully. I also urge everyone to continue working to make positive changes that will yield long-term social, economic and spiritual benefits for all our communities.”
Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) said in a statement that she expects people to be disappointed, but that she hopes the DOJ will “continue working together for solutions to systematic issues highlighted by this tragedy.”
Over a series of 11 tweets sent after the decision was announced, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) told protesters, “We hear you.”
“We have not merely witnessed the effects of a warped sense of law & order, enforced with unbridled & unpredictable power. We wear the scars,” one tweet read.
EDITOR'S NOTE: With the above-level of thought, reflection, and reason in the U.S. Congress, is there any question today why we have the current, bad-faith, bad-blood race relations in this county today? This portion of the U.S. Congress is clearly a major part of the problem and has no notion of the solution. None. Sad.

Western media, President Obama, all Muslim countries, and myriad groups and individuals have been telling us that ISIS does not represent Islam. Muslims, especially in the West, insist that their beloved faith has nothing to do with the terrorists who are embarrassing the good and peaceful Muslims and who are giving Islam a bad name and dishonoring the real Islam.
It is a fact that Arab/Islamic culture highly values honor and pride and has little tolerance for those who dishonor Islam and Islamic “family values.” Because honor is so vital in Islamic culture, a whole section in Islamic law is dedicated to forgiving and not prosecuting certain murders when they are linked to honor, such as the killing of adulterers and apostates. Sharia has harsh punishment for those who dishonor Islam or deviate from its values and commandments.
Because of Muslim sensitivity to dishonor one would think that the majority of moderate Muslims, especially after 9/11, would mobilize their armies, police and legal resources to arrest, punish, imprison or execute those who kill, behead and terrorize in the name of the religion of peace.
Muslim legal systems in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Sudan and Yemen, do not hesitate to whip, amputate, stone and behead those who violate Islamic sexual taboos, but never behead, amputate or whip jihadists who terrorize in the name of Islam.
Almost all Muslim governments claim to be moderate, but none have apologized for 9/11. They have no interest in rounding up terror groups except those who point their guns at Muslim governments. Why is that? Why is it that many Muslim governments allow the financial support and accommodation of terror groups as long as terrorists do their business elsewhere? Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other Gulf countries financed the radical resistance against Bashar Assad for one reason: he is not Sunni. And now when the radical resistance turned into ISIS, these same nations are asking the US to do something.
There are approximately 1.5 billion Muslims divided among 49 majority Muslim nations around the world and all claim to be peace-loving and “moderate.” Many of these Islamic nations have some of the largest and well-equipped armies in the Middle East and Africa. Pakistan possesses nuclear weapons. Egypt’s military has approximately 468,500 active personnel, in addition 1 million reservists. Turkey has 662,719 active personnel. Saudi Arabia’s military is estimated to have 150,000 active personnel and Pakistan has 550,000 active troops, 500,000 reserves.
Yet the huge armies of the above four Muslim nations are watching the ISIS slaughter and refuse to end it. Has anyone asked why? Where are the 1.5 billion moderate Muslims to save the reputation of Islam and fellow Muslims? Is there even a moderate Muslim army that will not hesitate to kill ISIS beheading their way from city to city? Will Muslim armies fight the alleged bad Muslims?
The answer is simple and I hope the West is ready for the truth. If Muslim governments go to war against ISIS, there is a good possibility that their armies will not kill ISIS but might actually join them against Arab governments. This is why: The ultimate holy goal of Islam, both “moderate” and “radical,” is to reestablish the Islamic Khalifate and control the world.
That is the goal of jihad. Historically all Islamic States were established by the sword, terror and violence. Even Mohammed himself established his first Islamic political entity in Arabia through the sword, violence and terror. Mohammed himself said in a hadith “I have been victorious through terror.” His followers took the sword, terror and beheading throughout Arabia to bring Arabs back to Islam after the death of Mohammed. Historically, Islam never created and maintained a Khalifate without the sword and the cruel punishments of Sharia. So the fact that ISIS is violent does not disqualify it in the eyes of Sharia from doing holy jihad in the name of Allah.
Thus, Muslim heads of state are caught in a quagmire. Sharia dictates that every Muslim head of state must do jihad as an obligation otherwise he is an apostate and must be removed from office — the old fashioned Islamic way like what happened to Saddam Hussein and Moammar Gaddafi. Sharia also gives the right to Muslims to wage jihad war against non-Muslim nations, but gives non-Muslim nations no right to reject Islamic jihad and fight back.
That is why Muslim leaders never want to wage serious war against the likes of Al Quaeda, ISIS, Boko Haram, Hamas, Hizbullah, etc. Muslim leaders do not want to be perceived as acting against Sharia by destroying the first budding Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
Thus we see Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Gulf nations and Egypt, who are perfectly capable of destroying ISIS, refuse to move against ISIS and allow the slaughter of fellow Muslims, Christians and Kurds, rather than violate Sharia. All these Muslim governments are begging the US and Western nations to do their dirty work for them, as usual. America is the great Satan, so what more can America lose between friends?
President Obama today refuses to put troops on the ground in Syria and Iraq to destroy ISIS. I hope his refusal is because it is in the best interest of the United States and not because he too, like Arab leaders, does not want to destroy the first budding Islamic State In Iraq and the Levant.

The article is not long, easy to understand, and well worth a read. The author of the article is Dr. Emanuel Tanya, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist. A man whose family was of the German aristocracy prior to World War II and who owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism.

The article is not long, easy to understand, and well worth a read. The author of the article is Dr. Emanuel Tanya, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist. A man whose family was of the German aristocracy prior to World War II and who owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism.

We Need Zero Tolerance For Pro-ISIS Preachers

London has rounded up and jailed pro-Islamic State preachers. So why are we letting radical clerics remain in the pulpits of our mosques? The First Amendment doesn't protect incitement or insurrection.
American Muslim leaders have insisted that they condemn the barbaric actions of the Islamic State. However, the Washington Post reveals that the American Islamic State jihadist who blew himself up in a truck bomb in Syria may have been radicalized by a Muslim cleric in Fort Pierce, Fla.
Before joining the Islamic jihad in Syria, the social life of the American suicide bomber, Moner Mohammad Abusalha, orbited around the mosque's imam and his family, according to the Post.
Meanwhile, a whistleblower member of the mosque attended by the IS-sympathizing beheader in Oklahoma City told Fox News that the leaders there taught members to wage jihad against non-Muslims using decapitation as a killing method.
The former mosque member, identified only as "Noor," said clerics at the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City have tried to disguise their violent agenda.
"To the public," he said, "the mosque will not promote terrorism or any kind of radical acts, but when they're among friends and congregants only, they will promote the true teachings of Islam, which include the offer to non-Muslims — the choice, rather, that you must convert, live under Islamic rule, or be fought against — jihad, for the sake of Allah."
Noor, who left the mosque because of its extremist teachings, said he was told by leaders there that suicide bombings are a legitimate tactic in jihad and that "when you meet the unbelievers you should smite at their necks." The quote also appeared on beheading suspect Alton Nolen's Facebook page.
He added that former imam Suhaib Webb — now the prayer leader of the Islamic Society of Boston, where IS media wing chief Ahmad Abousamra, as well as the Boston marathon bombers, worshipped — taught him about the standing Islamic order to put all non-Muslims under the sword.
He further revealed that members of the mosque took him to shoot weapons at targets resembling President Bush.
The mosque, which also once hosted 20th hijacker Zacarias Moussaoui, denies the charges, insisting Webb preached "Islam's message of peace" while noting its current imam Imad Enchassi has received local community awards.
The Obama administration buys it. It sent a representative to the mosque to offer words of praise to congregants.
London, in contrast, arrested several of its radical Muslim clerics, including Islamic State supporter Anjem Choudary, in recent anti-terror raids. It's declared zero tolerance for jihad inciters and recruiters.
There's a fine line between free speech and inciting violence, and many of our own Islamic preachers have crossed it. Yet this administration not only leaves them in their pulpits, but gives them official blessings.

The Islamic State somehow now possesses the weapons of mass destruction that Saddam Hussein never had. If the U.S. had finished the job in Iraq, neither IS nor its WMD would exist.
The New York Times boasts admittedly great reportorial skill, but the Old Gray Lady has a lot of trouble connecting the dots of what she uncovers.
A massive eight-part front-page extravaganza on Iraqi chemical weapons on Tuesday reported that during the Iraq War, U.S. forces found "roughly 5,000 chemical warheads, shells or aviation bombs," sickening numerous soldiers, who were then ordered not to talk.
But in a story dripping in supposed irony, the Times never puts two and two together: If stumbling upon Saddam Hussein's buried WMD made our troops ill, what could he have done had he been allowed to recover what he buried? After all, 5,000 Kurds and thousands of Iranian troops were gassed by Saddam in the mid-1980s during the Iran-Iraq War.
The Times also never notices a particularly weighty gorilla in the room: At the Persian Gulf War's conclusion back in 1991, United Nations Security Council Resolution 687 required Iraq to "unconditionally accept the destruction, removal or rendering harmless" of all its chemical and biological weaponry.
In 1997, of course, Saddam began closing down WMD inspections by the U.N. Special Commission on Iraq, accusing it of being a U.S. spy agency.
The so-called "rush to war" with Iraq after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that critics of Bush's invasion talk about, charging it was all based on misinformation, actually took place over some 12 years, during which the civilized world patiently stood by amidst 17 U.N. resolutions against Saddam, all of which were based on widely accepted fact and Saddam's documented mischief.
It wasn't George W. Bush or neocon icon Paul Wolfowitz who described the "kind of threat Iraq poses now" as being "a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists." President Bill Clinton did — in 1998.
Nor did Bush say, "Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability and his nuclear program," and, "if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." That was then-Sen. Hillary Clinton in 2002.
Bush didn't say in 1998: "Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology ... and he has made a mockery of the weapons-inspection process." Rep. Nancy Pelosi did.
No wonder more than 50 countries supported the U.S. liberation of Iraq in 2003, dwarfing the international coalition that went to war to reverse Saddam's invasion of Kuwait more than a decade earlier.
When the U.N. Security Council unanimously passed Res. 1441, "a final opportunity" for Saddam to disarm in November 2002, all it wanted to lift sanctions and avoid war was overflights and unannounced inspections. Saddam refused, knowing WMD would be found.
Now that the chemical weapons that weren't really there are in the hands of the Islamic State monster that has emerged after Obama's premature military withdrawal from Iraq, how many of the Democrats quoted above wish their president had not dismantled the victory Bush left for him?

Time was when the Secret Service seemed an exemplar of professionalism and dedication, an agency with a focused mission and largely immune from the bureaucratic bumbling inherent to big government. In recent years, it's seemed more like Animal House.
The intruder blew past one guard and was stopped only by an off-duty officer.
And this was one of hundreds of apparent security breaches. Even before the latest fiasco, there've been plenty of other examples of dereliction.
One agent was found passed out in a Netherlands hotel hallway this March after a booze-filled night.
Several others were charged with bringing prostitutes to a hotel in Colombia. And let's not forget that the Secret Service failed to notice several bullets had hit the White House until days after a shooter fired them.
It would be bad enough if the Secret Service were the only agency under Obama suffering from what looks like the Peter Principle on steroids.
Veterans have died waiting for the Veterans Affairs system to treat them, despite a rising budget and vows by the president to make the VA run better.
The IRS leadership was ignorant of or complicit with the agency's politically motivated targeting of conservative groups, compounding that with changing stories and ridiculous claims of crashed hard drives and lost emails.
HHS officials spent $2 billion on HealthCare.gov — supposedly Obama's top legislative priority — which failed spectacularly at launch. It still suffers security weaknesses and remains unfinished. A Government Accountability Office audit found rampant management failures and lack of accountability to blame.
The Justice Department sold guns to drug cartels in Mexico, one of which killed a border agent.
The State Department's failure to secure its consulate in Benghazi led to four deaths.
The Border Patrol is incapable of patrolling the border.
Obama seems routinely ill-informed by his staff.
Given that Obama never owns up to his mistakes and the staffers under him are never held to account for theirs, is it any wonder everyone seems — even by government standards — so lackadaisical?
It doesn't help that he keeps appointing nincompoops to key positions. From Kathleen Sebelius to Eric Shinseki to Steven Chu to John Kerry to Chuck Hagel — it's hard to think of any Cabinet official who's up to the job.
In his first inaugural address, Obama promised that "those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account." Maybe he'll get around to that after his 200th round of golf.

Obama Is An "Appallingly Foolish Man"
"In the September 23 edition of The Wall Street Journal, columnist Bret Stephens confirms my (Alan Caruba) analysis, “Every administration tries to spin events its way; every president gets things wrong. The die was cast in 632 AD when Mohammed built the first mosque in Medina. It became an inviolable and enduring precedent. Using the mosque as a base of infiltration and invasion, he methodically proceeded to destroy and obliterate all religions and governments throughout the Arabian Peninsula. It was as if some ghoulish monster had risen from the parched desert sands and could only slake its thirst by feeding on blood. It born a toxic formula carried thru to present time – first build mosques then conquer.
Now the monster of Islamofascism has risen in America with nearly 2000 mosques jeering at us, 80% of them financed by Saudi Arabia, an inimical foreign government, illicitly given trespass upon sovereign soil by our feckless and corrupt leadership besotted by Islamic oil money. The influence of Islamic oil money on America’s leadership is enormous to the extent that we have been “bought and paid for”.
Steven Emerson of the “Investigative Project on Terrorism” (IPT) elucidates: “the enemy is advancing, fueled by unparalleled amounts of money, helping the Islamists garner unprecedented support from politicians, government officials, journalists, commentators, academics, and more.” Steven Emerson has compiled a mountain of evidence proving his case.
Each of these mosques is currently conducting various types of jihadist attacks such as: propaganda jihad, immigration jihad, education jihad, media jihad, marriage jihad, lawsuit jihad, moderate Islam jihad, sharia jihad, bribery jihad, stealth jihad and all varieties of nefarious and clandestine means to sabotage and undermine our nation as required by the Koran. All this has been enabled under the guise of “moderate Islam”, the most effective psychological warfare infiltration ruse in history.
In their booklet “The Mosque Exposed” S. Solomon and E. Almaqdisi remark: “The mosque is the command and control center of Islam.” They further warn that by allowing mosques to be built in America we are helping build the enemies command and control center in the USA. They explain that Islam is at perpetual war with all non-Muslims and the mosque its center of operations. S. Solomon’s opinion is brilliantly qualified having been a former Islamic Sharia jurist.
In his article, “The Muslim Mosque: A State Within A State” , Vijay Kumar former Tennessee congressional candidate explains what a mosque does. “A mosque in the United States is a command and control center of a foreign political and military state that seeks the overthrow of our government, and an Imam in a mosque is a political and military representative of a foreign state that calls for the overthrow of the United States.” A native of India and longtime American citizen Vijay Kumar readily understands the atrocities perpetuated by the mosque community which have wreaked bloody havoc upon his country of birth for over 1000 years as required by the Koran.
Fellow Americans it is bad news if you have a mosque in your neighborhood, while putting on a smiling face it stealthily plots to emulate Mohammed in Medina – first build a mosque and next take over your neighborhood. The most important thing any American can do is steadfastly lobby for the shutting down of the mosque in their area.
Truth be told, Islam is not an authentic religion, rather it is an ideology of predation and the mosque is clearly the egg from which it hatches. The book, “Muslim Mafia”, by David Gaubatz and Paul Sperry reveals Islam to be a criminal gang bent upon worldwide conquest by hook or by crook. Please note, it is the death penalty for leaving Islam and the death penalty for criticizing Islam. Is not the death penalty the sine qua non of all criminal gangs? Genuine religions do not require the death penalty for apostates or detractors.
Undoubtedly the world’s most profoundly informed and stalwart expert telling the unabashed and candid facts about Islam and its mosques is former Muslim, Mr. Ali Sina. He states:
“The truth about Islam is ugly. It is so ugly that no one wants to look at it. We did. It is vile, disgusting and crude. We revealed that truth with brutal honesty, and challenged anyone to prove us wrong.”
Ali Sina offers $50,000 to anyone who can overturn the truth he tells about Islam and challenges everyone to debate. After 10 years of public debate he has easily defeated all opponents making him the paradigm of wisdom regarding all things Islamic. The truth will set us free and unless we adopt the sagacious consul of Ali Sina, Islam using the mosque as its base, will turn America into a living hell.
The “about me” section on Ali Sina’s website provides an insightful summary into the cruel realities of Islam. Ali Sina deserves a Noble Peace Prize for his efforts to educate our weak minded leadership and nation. If you think him wrong debate him, and you will discover your ignorance and perhaps your lack of intellectual honesty about the abject tyranny inherent in Islam. Ali Sina’s book “Understanding Mohammed and Muslims” is without comparison in the veracity of its content.
Habitually denying the obvious fact that mosques have never been benign places of worship will destroy any nation including ours. To the contrary, mosques are the beach heads, forward bases of invasion and infiltration encampments established for the usurping and destruction of their host country. Make no mistake about it, “moderate” mosques are the indispensable incubators nourishing the homegrown Islamic invasion of America. Here is a succinct and reliable depiction:
“Moderate” mosques are the harbingers of America’s demise. They are like cancer cells whose primary function is to metastasize and destroy all things non-Islamic worldwide. This is not a personal opinion, rather it is the absolute mandate bellicosely commanded by Allah in the Koran. It is further ordered in Mohammed’s 800 page biography. It is required again by the Hadith reports, and dictated yet again by Sharia, the barbaric Islamic legal code that obligates under penalty of death, all mosques carry out the Islamic conquest of the entire world.
Any ideology that calls for the overthrow of the American government is obviously illegal and must be outlawed. The slam dunk evidence against mosques is the Koran and its supporting literatures. Please note, that’s four smoking guns, making mosques the most blatantly villainous institutions in the history of the USA. “Moderate” mosques clearly do not belong in the USA because they are mandated by the Koran to destroy us. For this reason, it is imperative that all mosques in America be immediately shut down, boarded up, shuttered, put out of business, and ceased from further operations.
“American Mosques: Jihad’s Incubators” was written by Frank Gaffney president of the Center for Security Policy. Gaffney cites research data that approximately 80% of American mosques advocate or otherwise promote violence. What the research omits is that 100% of mosques seek the downfall of our government. This is because the so called “moderate” mosques that do not openly advocate violence conduct a wily and surreptitious jihad causing much greater harm.
All mosques conduct two general types of jihad: bloody jihad and scam (propaganda) jihad also known as stealth jihad, a term coined by Robert Spencer in his excellent book “Stealth Jihad”. Scam jihad and bloody jihad work together “hand in glove” in all “moderate” mosques with the same goal of conquering America. If any American believes that the “moderate” mosque in their neighborhood is peaceful and does not want to overthrow the USA then they have been scammed and are a victim of propaganda jihad.
Tragically, the large majority of America’s leadership are dunces who have swallowed the verbiage of the propaganda jihad, and our entire national security apparatus has adopted the scam by touting the phrase “moderate” Islam. The mosques built in America have been allowed by cloaking themselves in the scam called — “moderate” Islam, making the label “moderate Islam” the most efficacious psyop in world history.
Here is a truism that will prove reliable: Any person who claims there is a “moderate mosque” that does not want to overthrow the USA is an incompetent fool, a laughing stock or corruptocrat committing sedition in broad daylight. Nowhere has this been better explained then by Christopher Logan at Logan’s Warning he sarcastically states, “The moderate Muslims are not coming to the rescue.”
Christopher Logan is 100% correct because the so called “moderate” Muslims and mosques are 100% in support of the Islamic conquest of America and the entire world as required by the Koran.
In his book “Islam: The Enemy” Richard Crandall explains: “Despite what the mainstream media reports, Islamic extremists or terrorists have not “hijacked” Islam: Islam itself is extreme and dangerous as shown by its core teachings, its prophet Mohammed’s words and actions, and its fourteen hundred year history.”
Richard Crandall tells the truth desperately needed during our national malaise of abject denial where crooked hacks and timid quacks contemptuously claim Islam to be a religion of peace. Shutting down the mosques now is a very compassionate and wise thing to do because it will prevent enormous social upheaval, economic upheaval and bloodshed in the years to come. It’s just like having small weeds in the garden, pluck them early or they will take over the garden. Enormous misery can be avoided by closing the mosques and preventing this barbaric ideology of predation called Islam from harming our nation further.
To reiterate, the sole purpose of every mosque is to promote and implement the dictates of the Koran, and the Koran is a manual of war and hatred against all non-Muslims everywhere.
